Montreal, Quebec, November 20, 2019 –Maison Birks, Canada’s premier jeweler and timepiece house, has announced a significant expansion of its online offerings just in time for the Holiday rush. In addition to the assortment of Birks fine jewelry pieces, collections now include Messika and Chaumet, which are exclusive to Maison Birks in Canada, as well as Baume & Mercier, Breitling, Dinh Van, Frederique Constant, Longines, Marco Bicego, Montblanc, Roberto Coin, TAG Heuer and Yoko London. The site is also Cartier’s only official retail partner in Canada.

“We are proud to say that is Canada’s leading luxury jewelry and timepiece destination,” says Jean-Christophe Bédos, President and CEO of Maison Birks. “Our goal is to give our clients an extensive offering and to build on the prestige of our brand partners.”

Currently there are 2,400 pieces available for purchase online, ranging in price from under $100 to $58,000. An additional 500 items are available for purchase via in-store appointment. Van Cleef & Arpels, Vhernier and Rolex collections are featured online, where clients are encouraged to book an appointment to make their purchase in store. “This is a valuable resource for clients who wish to browse the collections beforehand and then discover the pieces in store with a Maison Birks expert,” says Bédos. “We also plan to continue adding new jewelry and timepiece collections with Grand Seiko in 2020.”

The company has recently completed extensive renovations on their Montreal and Toronto flagship locations. Maison Birks will have an increased footprint in Calgary with the addition of a (please add square footage) store in CF Market Mall opening this month and an expanded assortment at CORE Shopping Centre. Fairview Point Claire will undergo major renovations in 2020.

Birks recently partnered with Saks Fifth Avenue to open boutiques in their Queen Street and Sherway stores. This marks the first time that Birks has co-branded with another retail partner in Canada to sell their namesake collection. Birks also plans on US wholesale expansion in 2020.

Maison Birks’ strategy is to offer their client a range of options, allowing them to shop either in store or online.
