1965 Diver's Watch Re-interpretation Save the Ocean Special Edition. Designed for those who treat life as the ultimate adventure, the Seiko Prospex line meets every challenge with technological excellence and style. Updated with today's technology and materials, and a sleeker and thinner profile, this rugged timepiece reimagines Seiko's 1965 first diver's watch, an automatic timepiece with a then exceptional water resistance of 150 meters. Offering an extraordinarily legible dial and durable enough to become standard equipment on the Japanese Antarctic Research Expedition (JARE), this landmark watch propelled Seiko into the forefront of dive watch design.

Inspired by the intricacies of glacial formation, this Special Edition advances that unique history in support of the Seiko Save the Ocean campaign, dedicated to marine conservation. The patterned deep blue dial, reflecting the thickness of glacier ice, offers a date calendar and LumiBrite hands and markers, and is framed by a black uni-directional rotating elapsed timing bezel. With a power reserve of approximately 70 hours, the 24-jewel automatic movement beats at a frequency of 21,600 vibrations per hour, and provides manual winding capability. Crafted of stainless steel with super-hard coating, this timepiece features a curved sapphire crystal with anti-reflective coating on the inner surface, and a screwdown crown and caseback, and follows ISO standards for scuba diving.
